My work is thoughtfully designed for each client and situation. Some clients choose to work on one specific challenge at a time, on an as-needed basis. Others take a broader approach and explore themes that have challenged them over a long period of time. These approaches work just as well for couples and families as they do for individuals. My clients know their file is never “closed” and they’re welcome to come in for “tune-ups” whenever they find it helpful.
I am pleased to offer a range of service options for my clients. In today’s busy world, my clients appreciate having choices. We can discuss which of the following treatment approaches might work best for you:
Encouragement text messages 10 minute Telephone Boosters I personally handle all telephone calls and scheduling for my clients, so confidentiality is never a concern. New clients typically can expect to see me within a week of their first scheduling request. Individual Therapy Individuals come to me with a wide range of concerns and experiences. Depression, anxiety, stress and relationships are often a part of the mix. Once I learn more about your specific circumstances, I can discuss treatment options with you. We will determine how often to meet and typically I suggest “homework” to keep you moving towards your goals between sessions. Often our work involves learning new ways to think about situations, which can open up all kinds of possibilities for resolving problems and living a more satisfying life. Relationship Therapy Helping people improve their relationships is one of the most important services I can offer. We are all in relationships – whether they are with an intimate love partner, family, friends, or co-workers. If important relationships aren’t going well, it often impacts how we function at work and with other people. Feelings of anxiety and/or depression can creep into our lives. My work with couples and families is active and pragmatic. I understand that when a distressed couple or family walks into my office the first time, they are often anxious and unsure what to expect. Divorcing and Divorced Couples The decision to marry is a thoughtful one, and the decision to divorce is one that typically takes even more thought and deliberation. This is rarely an easy decision. When couples with children divorce, the decision can be particularly difficult and painful. My work with divorcing or uncoupling parents begins with the conviction that both parents love their children and want the best for them. However, I also understand that the multiple stressors of marital deterioration and divorce can take a toll on each person, and in different ways for each. This can lead to even more stress. |
